A fantastic day of Beach Sprints with 45 races held along with a fun Tug of War during the lunch break.

Kohimarama Beach was a beautiful spot from which to run this event.

West End Rowing Club – Founded in 1884, West End Rowing Club is based at Saunders Reserve, Avondale in Auckland. The club also has a boathouse on the Waikato River at Mercer and a new dedicated Coastal Rowing Clubhouse over the water at Cox’s Bay.

Catering for all; from juniors to masters, from novices to internationals, West End Rowing Club is one of the largest and most successful rowing clubs in New Zealand. We like to think we are also one of the friendliest.
