Beach Sprints Summer Series Round 1, Manly Whangaparāoa

It was no surprise that WERC had a big proportion of the entries at the first round of Beach Sprints racing this weekend. A last hit out for the elite team before Worlds, a first time out for our Coastal squad, and something fun for others.

Those who have been around for a while might recognise the name Stephen Jones, who had decided that he’ll give the coastal scene a crack - great to have you back Stephen!

Results

WERCers took out wins in the WO1x (Erin), GU182x (Jess, Elandra), MxC2x (Amy, Devin [Whangarei]) and MxO2x (Erin, Matt [Cambridge]). Special shout out to Jess and Elandra from Baradene on coming back from a tricky heat to take out that GU182x win!
