24 hour world indoor rowing record

  • 26 Saunders Place Avondale Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand (map)

Support the crew. Break the world record. Make history.

For 30 years, women have been a vital part of West End Rowing Club, adding national, world & Olympic medals, fulfilling coaching & club captain roles and contributing to the club spirit.

Now 10 women are setting out to row for 24 hours on a Concept 2 rowing machine from 8am on 17 May and break the small team world record of 305.2km for 50+ year women. In doing so they’re raising funds for West End Rowing Club to acknowledge 30 years of women at West End and to ultimately enable the club to purchase a much-needed women’s double 🚣‍♀️ 💪🚣‍♀️

The team is currently training hard and includes: Nicky Austin (Coles), Gigi Green, Cordelia Kerr, Paula Thorne, Carolyn Steele and Martha De Long, plus with support from Auckland Rowing Club’s Raechel Cummins, Susan Reade, Meg Mackintosh and Nat Welch.

Give them some encouragement and help raise funds for West End at their give-a-little page
